FD-core: language list in setup wizard is always (partly) translated into Czech, even in case when wizard started in English

FD-core: language list in setup wizard is always (partly) translated into Czech, even in case when wizard started in English

In step "Language setup" of setup wizard (which is for me always starting in English – see bug #982 (closed)), the list of languages appears in this form:

Automatic Catalan (Catalan) Czech (Czech) English (English) French (French) German (German) Italian (Italian) Spanish (Spanish) holandština (Dutch) polština (Polish) ruština (Russian) vietnamština (Vietnamese) ?ínština (Chinese)

Notice last five lines – they are in Czech (words before parenthesis)! Server system is installed in English, client system (actually the same – all is running localhost) is in English, browser is requesting English (or even another language, but it doesn't have any influence). So names of all language should be all in English, shouldn't they?

Note: testing environment is the same as described in bug #982 (closed).

The question mark in last line of languages list wasn't entered by me, but transformed by forge. Correct word (as is also in wizzard) is ?ínština (Chinese).

Grrr… forge definitely doesn't like this character – and it definitely is in UTF8 ;-) : http://doc.infosnel.nl/extreme_utf-8.html – decimal 269, hexadecimal 0x10D Interesting is, that in preview it is ok…

    Hello,

For this you need to test with the master branch

    Cheers

This fixes it, now name should be in detected language, and name inside parenthesis should be the language name in its own language. I've used names from here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes

Sorry for my late reaction – I managed to manually install from main branch and apply patches right now. It looks much, much better. But… let me please point to small remaining inconsistencies in list of languages (setup wizard is running in Czech language):

    on second line:

    Czech (?esky; ?eština)

In parenthesis after it, there should be word

    ?eština

…only. "?esky“ is only adverb, official name of language is "?eština" only (https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%8Ce%C5%A1tina).

Remaining names of other languages are in language in which setup wizard is running – at least for Czech – so algorithms are OK (translated names of languages on 1st and 2nd line aren't merged from Transifex yet)

As a wishlist – wouldn't be possible to place entry representing automatically chosen language always on top of list instead of inside alphabetically sorted list? On top it would be more evident than dived into another words (and also on various position according current language).

Yes, this is easy to do, I was hesitating to do it. I thought it would be confusing to add this change here, this needs to be done in an other bug report. See #992

This fixes the czech wrong name, I also remove "; castellano", only "Español" will be in the parenthesis. (There is still Catalan (Català) on its own row)
