Password Recovery - Unable to declare an SMTP server

Password Recovery - Unable to declare an SMTP server

It's not possible to configure an other SMTP server for the password recovery feature.

We can't consider that FD is going to be installed on the same host than an SMTP service. So for this feature it"s mandatory to be able to declare the SMTP server which is going to be used for sending the password recovery link.

      Hello,

i agree i propose the following scenario, if and smtp server is saved into the ldap like a service we put a dropdown and let the user select the one he wants. if there is no smtp server we just show a field where he can put the adress he wants

      Cheers

What happens if the user installs the systems plugins after having configured a server with a dedicated field ?

Actually, I think there is nothing to do. I revised my php.ini file and there is all the needed stuff to configure a mail connexion. So it's the webserver sysadmin where FD is running to configure php.ini with the correct mail configuration.
