XML error during installation of FD on debian Wheezy

I'm using last version available in FD repositories. (both FD and dependancies)

Install start properly but validating the first screen of LDAP information I get this error :

Erreur de configuration Erreur XML dans fusiondirectory.conf : XML_ERR_NAMED_REQUIRED à la ligne 1

hello,

you must remove {literal] and {/literal} in the the first line and also remove the ? in the first line inside the xml tag.

The result should be like this

http://www.smarty.net/docsv2/en/language.function.literal

this is due to wheezy having smarty3 = 3.1.10-2+deb7u1

and jessie smarty3 = 3.21.1

Adding a patch in the package may be enough provided it works at the end

{literal} is used a lot in all of FD, it’s not available on smarty3 = 3.1.10-2+deb7u1 ?

hum this {literal} in fusiondirectory.conf template has been there since at least 2011, so the problem must be something else.

The XML declaration always have the  ?> tag style from what I’ve found on the web.

Seems to be a smarty bug in this version. Pushed a work-around.
