Hello,
Currently, in the Manage Users interface, you can only filter users by name. It would be handy to be allowed to use custom filters, or at least to choose between different attributes to match.

filter on the email as been added on 1.0.12. but this is still static for now.
not sure we can do something about it right now, but lets discuss it

Would filter users by comment or (posix) uidNumber/uidNumer_range for example
Exemples in real case : i'm creating a list of special users, all have a specific term in comment, but don't know where i am in the creation process... want to filter by this comment to show only thoses users and check.
For uidNumber range, it's that i defined uid ranges for different user type (like 1000-4999 = realusers, 5000-9999=soft users, 10000+=temp/specific users). And sometimes i know more the uid unix number than the uid "name" :) (especially when wokring on a new server not in the ldap .. the nfs mount show me only numbers :)
i would too filter by groupmember, but i think i can just go in group manage and see members of this group.
