Two or more MAC address for a system
Two or more MAC address for a system
Hello,
I need to specify more than one MAC address for a system (server, workstation, ...). Schema allow multiple MAC addresses but webinterface erase informations...
Could it be possible to modify webinterface, DNS and dhcp to deal with this ?

I would like to generate something like that from informations stocked in the ldap :
host machineport-new { option host-name "machine.domain.fr"; fixed-address 192.5.43.95 ; hardware ethernet a8:20:23:45:36:21 ; } host machineport-old { option host-name "machine.domain.fr"; fixed-address 192.5.43.95 ; hardware ethernet b8:f6:34:16:39:37 ; }
Could it be possible to modify the webinterface in the web to allow this kind of configuration ?

After chatting a bit with Bilbo and, i think, Mcmic.
This modification is too important and could be a source of major problem in sub-componement (argonaut, ..). I will make the patch in a separate repository and give it to the community using this ticket.

Tests are passing so this should be good now. Interaction with Argonaut and OPSI still needs to be tested with several mac addresses.

Just tested with an update software action. It work, it look like OPSI and argonaut use the first value for mac adress.
