user-reminder using ppolicy values

user-reminder using ppolicy values

Hello,

I've installed the user-reminder plugin and found out that it works in combination with the values found in Account section (Unix tab). Would it be possible to make it use the ppolicy instead?

Also, our policy is usually to force the user to change its password every n-days. Is it possible to allow 0 value or -1 to disable the "Extension of validity" feature and use it for the emails only?

Thanks

So, what you want is only to send a mail to users to warn them that their account will expire because of ppolicy settings? And they need to change the password so they cannot extend the validity.

What you can do is remove the link from the email body, that way you’re sure the extension of validity won’t be used (the user have no way of guessing the token so no risk there. Just set the extension to 1 day.).

Regarding ppolicy expired users, argonaut-user-reminder is the one which would need to be updated to search for ppolicy expired users.
